Hours: Monday-Friday; 8a-5pm; 40 hrs/wk; 80 hrs/pay
Position
Summary: The Financial Analyst assists with the support of the MidMichigan Health's Decision Support System (EPSi) through the analysis and evaluation of the financial and operational performance of health system's affiliates. Responsibilities include leading in the development, analysis and maintenance of standard costs, cost allocations, productivity standards and standard cost accounting methodologies. Assist in the maintenance of the Decision Support System (EPSi) and the data interfaced to the system. Development of operating and capital budgets. Provide analytical support for special projects, development of long range planning forecasts and other projects requested by members of Administration and Management Teams. Work with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to develop tools for the efficient distribution of timely, accurate and pertinent management data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or Finance.
Knowledge of data analysis interpretation, writing skills, and complete knowledge of Microsoft Suite required.
Experience with financial system, integrated financial decision support system with clinical components, strongly preferred.
Ability to work in teams in collaborative manner.
Creative, flexible, open to change, results-oriented, organized.
Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to resolve problems.
Strong understanding of statistical methods.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to understand and apply current available databases to hospital practice patterns.
Knowledge of cost accounting.
Demonstrated ability of project management.
Demonstrate a positive, courteous, and helpful attitude toward co-workers within and outside of the department.
