Builds strong internal relationships with the business unit leaders and understands an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its mid-range plans, its culture and its competition.
Guides people strategy and organizational design, talent management, and workforce planning; delivers best-in-class HR service. Works with management to evaluate staff mobility, succession planning, skill gaps through the talent review and performance management process.
Manages all HR functional areas for business units and assists in the development and implementation of strategic and operational HR initiatives; partners with business leaders to help drive business initiatives through proactive business-focused HR programs.
Acts as part of leadership team for their assigned businesses, participating in various meetings and activities.
Partners with business leaders during performance review and compensation planning cycles annually.
Collaborates with HR specialty areas to ensure the delivery of integrated services, including talent management, HR Operations and total rewards. Makes recommendations based on business needs.
Partners with business on employee engagement feedback and planning, identifying areas of focus and working on actions to increase engagement.
Conducts succession planning activities, including talent reviews and actions plans for talent mapping.
Assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs and strategies to support business goals and leadership needs.
Provides and supports effective coaching, counseling, and progressive disciplinary strategies regarding employee relations issues.
Identifies training needs, evaluates, plans, and coordinates appropriate training and development activities for management, and ensure that all employees complete required training. Delivery of training programs that have been developed in partnership with the Talent Management group.
Responsibility for employee relations; acting as the 1st HR line of support for employee concerns / complaints and support to the management team. Coaches managers in administering progressive discipline when needed.
Provides coaching and counseling to management as well as employees in regards to career development, performance issues, etc. This may increase career path planning, performance improvement plans, etc.
Ensure key messages are being delivered to management and employees in an effective and consistent method regarding HR initiatives, policies, programs, regulatory or compliance issues.
Assists in ensuring the effectiveness of key HR processes and in developing and implementing HR policies and practices.
Assist in recruiting when needed, assists in developing position descriptions
Provides counsel and support to the leadership team in managing talent to drive the Company's culture of Clients for Life, Accountability, Relationships, and Engagement.
Ensure all new employees in business unit are on-boarded consistently and effectively. Work with teams to develop department specific on boarding initiatives.
Ensures that all governance and compliance issues are addressed and managed appropriately; communicates and ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures, keeps abreast of legal requirements, including federal and state government regulations/reporting requirements.
Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and communicates data to department leaders as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Up to 35% travel required.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field is preferred (High School diploma is required).
Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in an HR generalist role including significant employee relations experience.
Relevant industry experience a plus.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Computer skills including Word, Excel, and familiar with ADP HRIS.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
