The purpose of this position is to analyze raw material required to manufacture pet food products, and to convert requirements to orders. Additional responsibilities include:
Communicate orders to vendors.
Manage inventory levels and ingredient rejections.
Review production schedules to determine material requirements.
Oversee the transfer of materials to ensure it meets production needs.
Work with production and QA to solve possible ingredient handling issues.
Compile and maintain manual and or computerized records of raw material inventories, status and location transfers of materials.
Provide backup support for the Raw Material Inventory Clerk.
Implement new policies and procedures as instructed by NPPC.
Actively participates in all safety procedures and supports the Nestle Continuous Excellence process.
Education: High School degree or GED equivalent required. Additional education ideal but not required.
Experience: Employee leadership experience ideal as this position will require indirect supervision/work delegation. Previous accounting, purchasing or supply chain management experience ideal but not required.
Skills: Must have outstanding MS Excel skills and ability to understand production operations. Detail/accuracy oriented. Must be able to multi-task. Must have sound time-based decision making skills.
Must be able and willing to work on weekends when production runs and can receive critical materials-related phone calls at any time of day.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
