MAJOR DUTIES
Serves as NAF Property Book Officer for the management and accountability of assigned property. Establishes internal procedures for maintaining property transaction records, issues all turn-in documents, inventory adjustments and hand receipt documents. Coordinates all supply requirements for activities serviced. Utilizes data processing systems to fully work process of NAF property books. Ensures that program goals are met by guarding against and reducing fraud, waste and abuse. Processes documents for maintenance section work orders. Monitors and coordinates maintenance for all NAFI vehicles issued for all MWR activities.
May direct the daily activities of assigned employees.
Work experience performing duties as described above. Experience or training in the use of typewriter and calculator.
Highly Preferred Qualification Includes:
Knowledge of appropriate references guides, supply manuals, and other publications in order to identify and classify items to the appropriateNAFIFederal Supply Class or subclass.
Knowledge of systems to apply instructions for supply actions such as data entry, reports retrieval, search of specific records and error corrections.
Must have the ability to research and analyze material and the ability to communicate orally.
Working knowledge of property management and NAFI GAO procedures for property identification and processing.
Proficient in use of Microsoft programs such as Access, Word, Excel and Outlook.
_Conditions of Employment:_
1. A one-year probationary period may be required.
2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.
3. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check.
4. Successfully complete all required background checks.
5. A completed and signed copy DA Form 3433-1 is required prior to entrance on duty.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
