Maintenance Assistant - Sanford Vermillion

Job Description
Position is 80 hours per pay period.
The maintenance person will carry out maintenance repair and cleaning tasks of all mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations as may be assigned in a safe, professional manner, employing only acceptable practices.
Must possess basic mechanical knowledge, be competent in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges. Ability to work from schematics and blueprints helpful. Experience in plumbing, welding, air conditioning, refrigeration, or electrical work desirable. In addition to general maintenance functions, carpentry duties, outside maintenances, groundskeeping, vehicle maintenances and minor electrical work may be performed. Work duties include working at all SMDMC facilities.
Required Skills
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Trade school or vocational school helpful. When applicable, the employee must have a current valid driver's license.
CPR Certified within 6 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
