The Massachusetts Hospital School (MHS) is one of four public health hospitals operated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Located on a 168 acre campus, the MHS is a Joint Commission accredited chronic care pediatric public health hospital serving the more complex medical, rehabilitative, educational, and recreational needs of children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and other Neuromuscular Disorders, Myelodysplasia, trauma based disability including brain injury, and other congenital or acquired physically debilitating disorders. The MHS has a current inpatient capacity of 93 and provides day services during its summer program for 145 children from across the Commonwealth.
The Communication Dispatcher facilitates voice communications throughout the hospital. This position routes the hospital-s incoming calls using a CISCO console or equilivant. The Communication Dispatcher transmits emergency calls, medical and hospital-wide (i.e., disaster), using mission-critical systems to communicate potentially life-threatening situations. This position tests mission-critical systems according to hospital policy and procedures. The Communication Dispatcher notifies the Helpdesk and Safety Officer of any disruptions in service. This position provides information desk coverage.
The Communication Dispatcher remains on active duty until properly relieved. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
This is a full-time 40 hour position, Monday thru Friday 10:30am to 7:00pm

After appointment, appointees must obtain a valid Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's permit issued by the Federal Communications Commission.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
