Dedicated professionals are needed to meet the engineering demands of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. Facilities & Services employs 1,400 people and provides planning, capital programming, design, construction, construction management, environmental compliance, operations, maintenance, alterations and other services for nearly 18,000,000 square feet of buildings on 1,000 acres of the UIUC campus.
Duties and
Responsibilities: An ETSED Management Engineer is responsible for the oversight of design and development and management of projects, budgets, and stakeholders associated with the administration and prioritization of Engineering Design group resources. The successful candidate must be able to engage and cooperate effectively with reporting staff, supervision, and campus clients. This position works closely with fellow management engineers and the Associate Director to prioritize work requests, produce design documents, engineering reports/opinions, and provide training and development of staff for continued growth and successful project delivery. In addition to management responsibilities, this position also provides engineering or architectural expertise, performs evaluation for programmatic maintenance, critically reviews new construction and major remodeling plans developed by architects and engineers, manages projects, designs complex engineering/architectural systems, devises operating schemes for building and plant systems, investigates and troubleshoots existing component and system problems, performs computer modeling and economic analysis, analyzes engineering data, and consults with F&S staff and campus customers on engineering projects and issues. This is a full-time, academic professional appointment.
Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Architecture, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Other requirements include: Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer with registration in the state of Illinois; 10 years of continuous work experience with increasing responsibility of project development and management.
Preferred
Qualifications: Certification in engineering, energy or facility management. Moderate to strong working skills with AutoDesk products (such as AutoCAD and REVIT) as well as Microsoft Office products including MSPROJECT and VISIO. Strong working skills in equipment selection software. Solid people skills, team management experience, continued professional development, professional certifications such as LEED AP, active membership in field related organizations (e.g., ASHRAE, AEE, IES, AIA), and previous work experience within A/E design firms.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with demonstrated ability and experience. This is a full-time, 12-month, academic professional appointment. The proposed starting date is as soon as possible following the close date.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
