BILINGUAL STEP INSTRUCTOR FT Bilingual STEP Instructor South Central. This position is responsible for oversight of all activities for individuals in the STEP program. These responsibilities more specifically include: curriculum based classroom instruction, site supervision and work experience training to increase the employability of individuals attending program services; developing and implementing strategy for placement and retention of competitive employment for the individuals; and developing community based work experience sites. Acts as liaison and support between the Employment Specialist and the individual, providing assistance in job readiness skills, job search, on-the-job training and/or job supports, career development and follow-up services. Promotes services to individuals, businesses and funding sources. Bachelor's degree in human services or related field. Two years experience in job placement, business or knowledge/ experience working with people with disabilities or other barriers to employment; or equivalent education and experience. Bilingual English/Spanish). Familiarity with cultural diversity within Hispanic/ Latino Community in Berks County. Must possess a current, valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and be able to travel throughout Berks County. (Job located 3001 St Lawrence Ave., Reading, PA). EOE-M/F/D/V. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
