Performs preventive maintenance inspections and mechanical repairs on Medical Center heating, ventilation, and cooling systems. Education & Experience requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of an accredited program in boiler operations required; trade school courses in heating, ventilation and air conditioning/refrigeration preferred. Five years experience in commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning/refrigeration required. Three years experience in the operation and maintenance of central chiller systems of two hundred tons or larger required. Three years experience in the installation, calibration, and repair of pneumatic control systems and components required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings required.
Licensure & Certification requirements:
Certified in the handling of refrigeration/refrigerants by an Environmental Protection Agency approved course. Current type III Refrigerant Certification, HVAC Refrigeration License and trades, use as required by authorities and regulatory agencies.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
