Work with technical leaders to create an overall platform design. Define architecture and coding standards and ensure compliance with the standards. Work across multiple projects to provide technical guidance and oversight. Review requirements documentation and access technical feasibility and effort. Identify team milestones for Agile-style project planning. Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior team members. Write code for difficult or key pieces of functionality. Review new technologies, suggest process improvement, introduce best practices. (No ability to hire/fire/discipline other employees.) Requires use of JavaScript, Java, Spring, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Docker, Puppet, CAS Single Sign On and Apache Shiro. Requires object oriented programming and design patterns.
(1) Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related degree.
OR
(2) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related degree plus 5 years progressive programming experience. Foreign equivalents accepted.
