Jan Medical is an early stage medical device company located in Mountain View. The Jan Medial Nautilus BrainPulsetm system is an investigational non-invasive neurological evaluation system. We are currently planning an expanded clinical trial at local high schools to detect concussion and recovery from concussion. A clinical assistant internship is available at Jan Medical. The study will take recordings of concussed football players over the course of their recovery and do the same for healthy high school athletes from non-contact sports. The position will be funded through January 2015 to the VP, Commercial & Clinical Operations of Jan Medical.
The intern will work under the supervision of experienced clinical coordinators to provide support to the clinical research study and will be responsible for the following activities: Conducting measurements with the BrainPulse 1100, developing and implementing patient recruitment strategies, writing sections of research reports, data entry and data management. The internship will provide excellent experience in initiating, conducting, closing and documenting a clinical trial.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
