Job Description: One of our clients has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer/ Designer with skills using Autodesk Inventor. This is a great nationwide company! This position revolves around machine design and entails modifications to existing designs as well as the completion of new designs.
Responsibilities: Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as component design, machine design, detail and assembly drawing creation. In addition, a detailed Bill of Materials including manufactured and purchased items as well as required hardware must be completed. Prepare specifications and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions. Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents and reports. Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate. Plan, conduct or coordinate relatively straightforward engineering analyses and tests, and prepare related reports and summaries, for review. Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences. Assist all shop floor associates and vendors involved in a variety of shop floor fabrication matters. Lend technical assistance to assembly personnel.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or related field, withEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
