Gerdau is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) for its Albany, GA facility.

Job
Summary:
Perform diversified inside sales and administrative duties for the Operations Manager, Customer Service Manager and other supervisory personnel pertaining primarily to Construction Product sales.
Perform diversified sales functions involving telephone sales, customer service, order processing, inventory control, scheduling and a variety of liaison duties pertaining to the sale of Construction Products and value added processing.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Respond to telephone inquiries concerning product information, price, and delivery, drawing and rolling schedules, etc. in a prompt and courteous manner.
Quote prices for designated products from standard price list or within approved price range to obtain sales order, and solicit orders for additional items.
Document customer inquiries as directed, and prepare work orders based on customers' orders.
Review customer purchase orders to verify for accuracy and exercise care to obtain complete and accurate information and specifications in accordance with customer's requirements.
Investigate apparent errors and omissions of data received from customers and confer with supervisor or others on all questionable matters.
Secure approval on customer's credit prior to shipments and ensure processing of necessary documents through billing section.
Responsible for customer accounts as assigned and must maintain thorough knowledge of sales operation flow, customer pricing, market and competition information.
Maintain current status of inventories, drawing and rolling schedules and to the extent possible, customer's potential requirements.
Must be a self-starter to perform all aspects of the job with minimum supervision.
Receive and process customer complaints and initiate required action within limits of established procedures. Acknowledge and follow up on customer inquiries concerning order status and delivery data. Keep customers informed of drawing and shipping schedules, communicate actual or potential delays or problems.
Build shipments and prepare loading requests for scheduled loads.
Contact customer receiving departments to schedule receiving appointments as necessary.
Contact trucking companies and schedule trucks to cover loads. Inform trucking companies of receiving appointment dates, times and numbers as necessary.
Assist Customer Service Manager as needed, and perform sales office functions and other duties as assigned or directed.
Maintain all correspondence and paperwork required to keep customer files up to date.

Additional
Responsibilities:
As directed, make customer calls with various sales personnel in order to be oriented to the market and product applications as well as to become acquainted with contacts, enhance customer relations and become familiar with competitors' activities.
Serve as relief to Administrative Technician as needed.

Qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 - 2 years of Inside Sales or Customer Service experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Intermediate level or above with MS Outlook, Word and Excel; SAP experience is a plus.

Excellent communicator with both written and verbal; a focus on customer service is essential.
Must be able to lift, move, and load products and materials over 25 pounds but no less than 60 pounds
