Windows Server / Exchange NW or System Engineer - 3 month Contract To Hire
A leader in vehicle transportation and related services. Founded in 1994
- A Bachelor degree or equivalent
- At least 4 years in a corporate IT environment as a System Engineer
- Here are some of the must-have
- Perform daily routine maintenance and monitoring functions within the infrastructure,
update documentation for these functions, research and find solutions for difficult technical issues and report on findings in
meetings.
- May also perform virtual machine installation and reconfiguration, anti-virus client configuration, and service troubleshooting,
updates and patching, application troubleshooting and various other infrastructure tasks as assigned.
- Some of the above duties may require after-hours and weekend work.
Exchange
-Hands-on experience with Exchange Server 2010/2013 in a non-clustered/clustered environment.
-Experience monitoring performance and supporting Exchange environment
-Experience with documentation of complex Exchange systems.
-Strong understanding and experience with email and file archiving.
Windows Server
-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012.
-Experience with Active Directory and related network services including DNS/DHCP.
-Strong hands-on experience with Group Policies and its effectiveness.
-Experience with rack-mount server hardware and cable management best practices.
-Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware to include SCSI, RAID, and I/O topologies.
-Experience with server performance tuning and SolarWinds monitoring tools.
-Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel, ISCSI)
-Experience with server virtualization (VMWare), best uses and implementation techniques
-Experience installing, configuring, load balancing and maintaining RDS environment.
-Experience Backup technologies (dedupe, compression, LTO, BackupExec, vRanger, VEEAM.etc)
VMware
-Experience performing installation, administration and support for all aspects of VMware view infrastructure, including server
provisioning, P2V migrations, security updates, and performance tuning.
-Experience troubleshooting complex issues in a timely manner as necessary to maintain the performance and stability of the VM
production environment.
-Experience documenting standard processes and procedures for all aspects of the VM infrastructure, and administration.
-Experience performing VM infrastructure security analysis and risk mitigation.
-VCAP-DCA certificate preferred
