This is a very high level position:
Responsible for running facility as well as several facilities that the Company will be acquiring in the future.
It is absolutely critical that candidates have experience managing multiple facilities (RUNNING THE WHOLE SHOW AT EACH).
Petrochemical experience is a HUGE plus.
This is a Diesel (hydro-treating) facility, it is similar to petrochemical/refining
Company is a commercial scale, state-of-the-art renewable diesel production facility in Geismar, Louisiana. The multi-feedstock production facility can utilize a wide variety of lower cost feedstocks to manufacture approximately 75 million gallons of high quality renewable diesel and renewable naphtha.

Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Related and/or 10 years business experience preferred.
Must have minimum 10 years business experience with 5-10 years executive business experience
Must have Decision-making, oral and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required.

General Manager: (Overview)
To direct, promote, and coordinate the operations in a manner that will optimize market share, profitability, improve efficiency, help achieve the mission and goals of the company and those of the respective board, and result in outstanding customer service.

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities involve direct supervision of multiple Plant Managers, public relations, marketing, profitability and sales, service, reporting, capital requirements, and other duties as assigned by the Company and the board(s) of directors.
Corporate Philosophy
Coordinate the continuous evolvement of corporate philosophy, mission, and values
Direct the implementation of all policies established by the Company and the Board of Directors
Maintain Company's approved organizational structure at each plant
Provide leadership and direction as necessary or requested by the various Board of Directors in relationship to the Company.
Develop agendas for Board meetings, attend and participate in all regular and special Board meetings and lead discussions as appropriate
Provide accurate and complete financial reports and other necessary reports to the Company and the Board of Directors
Operations
Supervise/help develop day-to-day operating policies for each plant
Conduct periodic necessary staff/employee meetings
Provide for all policy, procedural, safety, employee, and other operating manuals, as required
Supervises the development and maintenance of all physical assets under your control
Assure the Company and its employees operate within all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Establish and maintain relationships with outside interests such as auditors, attorneys, consultants, regional cooperatives, government officials, insurance companies, and lending agency officials as necessary
The group, general manager will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the company/plant and a favorable image in the local communities
Direct the development of and/or provide management/employee training programs as necessary, including a strong safety program
Planning/Budgeting
Coordinate the development and updating of the long-range strategic business plan
Direct the development of an annual operating business plan, which includes business objectives, an operating budget, and a capital budget
In coordination with the Company and each plant manager, develop an annual operating budget, which includes objectives, an operating budget, and a capital budget
Perform other duties and assignments as required
Maintain inventories at levels to assure service with a minimum of delivery delays, yet maintain inventory turn goals
Service
Service involves providing and promoting the service necessary to meet the goals and needs by ensuring all customers receives courteous and efficient service from all employees
Handle claims and complaints promptly and promote outstanding customer service
Reporting
Reporting involves keeping the Company and the board informed of the plant's status and activities, and assisting with appropriate Company and board activities
Submit reports, general information, and recommendations to the Company and the board of directors as necessary
When applicable organize for the board to review insurance, banking, auditing, and other board-approved relationships
Safety
Establish corporate safety standards and programs in accordance with legal requirements and operational directives; Perform other duties as assigned
