We are currently looking to add a Controller US South in our Kilgore, TX office. This position is a key strategic business partner to the General Manager, location Controllers, Regional Managers, and Corporate Finance and Accounting Teams. The primary responsibility of this contributor is to assist senior leaders within the organization to better understand, manage and forecast business trends for the region. This will be accomplished by consolidating data from the respective locations, report generation and analysis, researching and trending local and global economic data.
Responsibilities:
Analyze/understand key business and financial information. Communicate key results to management. This includes working capital, P&L, bookings, labor absorption and other key business metrics.
Responsibility/support for accounting practices, proper GAAP accounting, internal controls and process improvement initiatives within the region.
Work closely with the management team to develop and meet the requirements of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process.
Work with internal/external auditors on financial, tax and SOX audits.
Responsibility for meeting regional P&L and working capital goals. This requires review/analysis/understanding of the individual components.
Review and assist in capital expenditure requests.
Data analysis to support key business strategies
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.
Five to ten years of accounting experience. Controllership experience is preferred
Competent with software applications such as Microsoft Office
Previous SAP experience is preferred
Excellence in verbal, written & presentational skills that promotes team work with the varied levels.
Strong critical thinking and intuitive problem solving skills with an attention to detail required.
Ability to travel up to 40%
