Position
Summary:
The purpose of this seasonal position is to assimilate and maintain children's records as they pertain to camp attendance and to ensure that documentation is available for the Camp Coordinator and Camp Counselors (Associates). This position will greet and communicate with parents all aspects of camp attendance, register campers, and account for all in attendance. This position will be provided with general supervision by the VillaKids Director and will need to be organized and work with minimal direct supervision.
Qualifications:
Understanding of children's behavior
Ability to develop and manage children's programs
Minimum two years experience working with children
Knowledgeable of camp administrative
Experience supervising children. Ability to visually observe children and to physically intervene when the safety of a child could be compromised
Ability to physically move with children through a wide variety of indoor and outdoor program settings and activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
Excellent physical condition
College degree in physical education or equivalent
First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
Must meet all state requirements for working in a licensed child care facility
Bilingual a plus, Spanish preferred
