Overview:
Working as a full-time Entry Level Machinist, you will be working from blueprints and specifications to set-up and operate Boltmakers.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Working from blueprints and specifications
o Setting up and operating Boltmakers and auxiliary equipment or 2 die, 3 blow header and its auxiliary equipment, roll threader and knurler to fully manufacture a fastener from raw stock to finished product.
o Setting up, maintaining and operating various Boltmakers of different sizes to form a wide variety of parts, from standard and simple to complex specials where specifications dictate exacting adjustments and modifications of the original setup.
o Operating auxiliary wire drawing equipment to fuse coil ends when so required.
o Placing wire on proper wire table using electric hoist or forklift truck.
o Installing proper wire tools including feed rolls and straighteners.
o Obtaining and installing proper wire draw die as required and draw wire to required size.
o Installing wire into machine and setting cut-off dies, cut-off knife and transfer fingers.
o Installing forming die and proper gate tooling.
o Adjusting all tooling for proper alignment, knockout, clearance, feed, etc.
o Making trial run and checking sample parts both visually and with fixed and adjustable measuring devices for conformance with blueprint specifications.
POSITION
Qualifications:
The skills and qualifications required for this position include:
o The ability to demonstrate Company values of Innovation, Teamwork, Ambition, and Integrity
o Previous experience operating Headers
o Excellent safety record
o Basic math skills including decimals and fractions
o The ability to read blueprints and interpret process drawings
o Desire to continuously improve manufacturing process
o The ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs
o Ability to pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY).
