Database Administrator Database Administrator-Alabama Advantage The DBA role for the Advantage program requires supporting various developments teams under Matrix structure. The program uses 3 different RDBMS namely, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2. The person is expected to support database installation, setup, database change requests and troubleshooting database issues in development and Testing regions. REQUIRED SKILLS - 5 years experience with Oracle database installation, setup & maintenance. - Past experience of working with large project/teams - Close attention to detail, ability to multi-task - Independently manage database changes at various Development & Test databases - Database trouble shooting skills - Strong written and spoken communication skills DESIRED SKILLS - Experience in Oracle-RAC is a big plus. - Database Performance Tuning experience - Understanding of other RDBMS like SQL Server or DB2 - Solid knowledge of LINUX Operating system - Solid knowledge of Windows Server OS Education Requirements A bachelor's degree is desired.
