DEVOPS ENGINEER (ARLINGTON, VA)
Cutting edge Security Software company is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who loves to work in fast-paced, agile environments to join our Technical Operations team.
The TechOps team has a multifaceted role in the creation and deployment of game-changing insight and security products. We work with terabytes of data using high level programming languages in a NoSQL ecosystem to implement analysis, data-flow, and visualization systems. Much of our work is exploratory and experimental.
This position will report directly to the TechOps leader and is based in either our Arlington, VA office
Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and develop software to manage 1000s of pieces of physical and cloud infrastructure. Contribute operational experience to engineering and QA. Keep the code deploying and the bits moving while making the process better.
Qualifications
Ability to script in Python, Perl, Ruby and/or other dynamic languages. Deep knowledge of Python and Shell a plus. Solid networking and UNIX fundamentals. Administration of Debian and RPM based Linux distributions. Infrastructure management with Saltstack, Puppet, Fabric, Chef, etc. Application metrics and performance monitoring with Nagios, Zenoss, Graphite, etc. Familiarity with SSH and centralized authentication/authorization. Experience with AWS, OpenStack and/or other IaaS environments. Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, ElasticSearch, Casandra and/or other big data technologies.
Secondary qualifications
Experience developing for and managing high availability SaaS environments. Ability to code in and debug C and/or C++. Ability to create and maintain software packaging. Experience with git/github, Jenkins/Hudson and/or other build and continuous integration systems.
