Job Description
Position is 80 hours per pay period.
Greets and assists patients, families and visitors in a courteous manner. Responds to patients with empathy and positive interpersonal skills. Directs patients, family members and visitors to patient locations or various hospital departments, clinics and offices. Provides city information to patients and visitors about available lodging and area businesses. Occasionally assists with pushing a patient, family member or visitor in wheel chair to desired area.
Must have a pleasing personality. Must have a positive attitude, the ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to change. Must be able to communicate tactfully to patients, family members, visitors and others. Must be perceptive to the needs of patients, visitors and family members and offer any assistance to them. Must be able to use multi-line phone system. Will be expected to use computer hard and software. Pushing a wheelchair and the proper use of body mechanics will be necessary. Knowledge of nursing units and outpatient departments is helpful.
Responsible for daily mail sorting. Responsible for office copier and postage machine maintenance and ordering of supplies. Trained for Outpatient Registration Clerk position to fill in for breaks and staffing challenges.
Required Skills
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Will be trained on the job.
CPR certification required within 6 months of employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
