The NASA Shared Services Center is seeking a highly qualified individual with a commitment to excellence to assist with the purchasing of training opportunities and conferences for NASA's employees. Responds quickly to expedited and bulking training requests with exceptionally short deadlines.
Negotiates cost savings with vendors, resolves registration conflicts that may arise and validates training requests for accuracy according to federal regulations, agency directives and procurement guidelines.
Provides excellent customer support and ensures accurate, complete, and timely communications with both internal and external entities.
Enters data, updates record documentation and efficiently cross references details in multiple electronic applications to maintain electronic paperless files and audit trails for purchases.
Must be able to independently monitor multiple electronic applications, prioritize assignments and meet timeliness and efficiency standards during unusually heavy work load.
Electronically reconciles monthly transactions with bank statements, multiple computer applications and individually maintained purchase records. Researches and ensures all transactions accurately reflect the actual purchased amount and disputes erroneous and fraudulent transactions.
Composes non-technical correspondence and reports from oral instructions, information obtained from files, and data obtained from staff members. Independently determines the appropriate person to receive technical inquiries using personal knowledge of assigned programs, priorities, goals, and objectives.
Carries out special projects such as assembling reports and publications into a finished, comprehensive document.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
