The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Plant Engineer for a large food manufacturing company located in Illinois. The Plant Engineer is responsible for maintaining the plant equipment and building in order to meet and exceed production requirements and to comply with all the governmental and regulatory agencies. The qualified individual must supervise building and equipment installations and repairs, and must enforce all critical control checks and points that will affect property, personnel, and product quality and safety. The Plant Engineer is responsible for all capital projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:
Manages plant maintenance and identifies current and future maintenance requirements in a proactive manner
Handles the maintenance budget, including preparation, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when necessary
Manages all maintenance inventories to ensure availability
Designs, implements, and manages/modified preventive maintenance program and constantly improves program by reviewing quality control, production and maintenance reports and statistics
Ensures all organizational and department training is completed and recorded appropriately following all organizational guidelines
Communicates cross-functionally with all levels regarding maintenance activities
Ensures all departmental communication and holds meetings as needed
Observes and tracks down time reports and work orders to equipment and lines to maintain maximum efficiency
Holds staff accountable for work assignments and resulting equipment performance
Trains mechanics on an continuous basis and ensures safety training compliance
Conducts performance evaluations of employees and encourages and works with employees to reach department and personal development goals
Supervises the compliance of all state, federal, local & Company safety & quality policies
Participates in the HACCP Team, Sanitation, Safety, Quality and new products Committees
Handles internal auditing, implementation, training, and corrective actions
Provides suggestions to improve procedures, process and the maintenance department in support of company goals
Verifies Safety standards and GMP's are maintained at all times and takes action when deficiencies are noted
Ensures compliance with the HACCP program
Participates in the Safety, 5s, Lean Manufacturing, and Suggestion Committees while contributing effectively to their success
Prepares CEAs for capital funds requests sent to Corporate
Ensures all legal requirements and food safety principles have been applied effectively

Qualifications:
BS Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
8
years' experience in a manufacturing environment
5
years' experience in a food manufacturing or processing plant HIGHLY preferred
MUST have a strong capital projects background
Candidates with ammonia refrigeration experience are strongly preferred
Strong electrical skills
Ability to read and understand PLC diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot PLC's
Familiarity with OSHA regulations
Strong management and leadership skills
Strong computer and communication skills
Technical experience in packaging or processing of bakery products strongly preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
