Senior Designer in fashion wanted by a young brand apparel company in Fort Lee, NJ.
Job duties: Analyze market trends and fashion industry to forecast material, color, and style that will likely be in demand to create new brand themes/design concepts. Create sketches of design ideas and using various CAD, prepare illustrative material for individual design with different size and arrangement. Compare and select appropriate fabrics, and provide specifications describing factors such as color scheme, construction, and type of material to be used depending on item. Work closely with merchandising, production, and tech design team to coordinate the production of pre-production samples and Tech Packs. Examine sample garments and modify designs as necessary through multiple review process. Confer with the company's executives to ensure all design products adhere to the company's overall vision and profitability standards.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design related fields & 5 yrs of experience. CAD, fine arts drawing, fabrics, and printing knowledge. Experience of dealing with manufacturing factories in Asia.
