Position: Accounting Specialist IIIReports to: Financial Controller STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:To prepare, confirm, and research financial and other management data for accuracy. To ensure financial statements are prepared timely and in accordance to GAAP.
Essential Functions:Maintain ongoing understanding of pharmacy management software in order to assist with the development and accuracy of general ledger entries, sometimes requiring research and testing of output. Report problems and concerns to Supervisor.Document, understand and reconcile pharmacy accounts receivable and reports trending, problems, and concerns to Supervisor.Assist in preparing journal entries and monthly financial statements. Assist in reviewing statements for completeness and accuracy before submission to the Accounting Supervisor for final review.Prepare reconciliations necessary for completion of financial statements.Maintain ledgers and other accounting records as necessary for complete and accurate financial records.Maintain and looks at monthly comparison spreadsheets and graphs, reporting outliers to Financial Supervisor.Document and maintain job procedures required to fulfill all duties, in Excel and in a folder, including examples and print screens when helpful.Assist the Accounting Supervisor in meeting internal and external reporting requirements.Maintain ongoing understanding of management software in order to assist with the development and accuracy of general ledger entries.Participate in special projects that may involve gathering, reporting, and analyzing data, both management and non-management.Assist and acts as back-up to Payroll with provider productivity plan calculations and provider CME payments according to contract and policy and reports any problems or concerns to the Accounting Supervisor.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
