JOB
Summary: Performs a wide range of data collection. Triages referral activity in order to ensure a prompt, efficient and accurate screening process for clinically appropriate admissions.
NON-ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
May be required to perform duties of lesser, equal or greater responsibility. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Working knowledge of level of care criteria.
2. Working knowledge of regulatory agencies preferred.
3. Able to perform job related duties in a crisis and with several time constraints while respecting patient/related individuals dignity, and, emotionality while experiencing said crisis.
4. Possesses excellent positive written and verbal communication skill, flexibility, and a demonstrated team oriented focus that insures a collegial relationship with a variety of clinical staff.
5. Experience with computers, and, all related programs employed in the office. Also, must be an accurate and proficient typist.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in a related health care field is preferred. Strong and relevant customer service backgrounds will also be considered.
2. A minimum of two years experience working in a behavioral health environment.
3. A strong, out-going, empathic presentation with the ability to obtain sensitive information from patient's in crisis is an absolute must.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
