Join us on the cutting edge of lighting technology as a 2nd shift Entry Level Machinist for the Hillsboro Specialty Lighting facility In this role you will set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers utilizing computer aided manufacturing (CAM) and/or CAD programs. Understanding of shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques required. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece. Inspection of parts dimensions and alignment of assemblies using measuring instruments, for example micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks are required. Individual will work closely with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining and assembly problems.
Qualifications Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Trade school with formal apprenticeship training certification. 2-3 years related experience preferred. Must be well organized, detail oriented and time oriented. Benefits
