Job Description
The User Experience Visual Designer participates in the day-to-day user experience engagement activities with a focus on delivering high quality, highly interactive, high performance applications that match or exceed expectations. The User Experience Visual Designer interprets customer needs, presents design concepts, and effectively communicates with the internal User Experience Team and project teams. This position creates mocks, style guides, UI assets and contributes to pattern and asset libraries.
Responsibilities
Champion principles of usability and user-centered design across the organization
Work directly with UX Lead, UX Designers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and Development Leads to create compelling digital experiences.
Develop mocks, style guides, UI assets and contributes to the curation of pattern and asset libraries.
Present design work to the User Experience team and project team for review and feedback.
Work in both Agile and Waterfall development processes.
Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, research, technical constraints, and business input.
Create Style Guides, Strategy Documents and other final project documents as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
Strong understanding of combining User-Centered Design principals with user research.
Expert experience with toolset (Adobe Creative Suite)
Exceptional presentation abilities, both verbal and visual
Experience working on Mobile Web, Mobile Applications and Desktop Web.
Experience designing complex data visualization experiences
Proven knowledge of web-based application design trends, patterns and best practices.
Creative and strategic thinker able to develop innovative solutions to problems and leading-edge design.
Experience designing in SharePoint is a plus
Comfortable working face to face or in virtual settings across multiple time zones
Secure understanding of responsive design principles and creating such environments.
Minimum of four years of professional experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, visual designer or similar role.
A degree in Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, or similar fields.
