Full Time - Night Shift
6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. - 12-hour shifts alternating between 3 and 4 day work weeks

Weatherchem Corporation an injection molder in Twinsburg, Ohio designs and manufactures plastic caps for packaging. Weatherchem's customers include manufacturers of food, chemical and personal care products.
Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic aligns with manufacturing personnel in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of equipment including hydraulic, electrical and mechanical operations and general maintenance in support of efficient and effective manufacturing and business operations.
Essential Functions:
Participate and assist in the maintenance of all company property including but not limited to manufacturing equipment, buildings, grounds, and others as necessary. Identify or be aware of, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade manufacturing equipment with particular focus on hydraulics, electrical and mechanical operations by identifying root causes and issues. Perform basic maintenance functions to the facility including but not limited to changing light bulbs, simple plumbing repairs, cleaning and painting, cleaning and repair of windows, doors and grounds, and others as needed. Work closely with manufacturing personnel in support of overall equipment and building repairs. Provide prompt and courteous response to operators' and supervisors' requests for maintenance support. Perform tooling changeovers on auxiliary equipment. Move auxiliary equipment as needed. Complete project work including but not limited to fabrication, upgrades to equipment and facilities, and ground maintenance. Complete daily preventive maintenance (PM) activities and contribute to the overall value of the PM program by identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion of PM activities. Maintain organization of and label all tools, supplies, parts, spare parts, and all other items used in the normal course of performing in the role. Participate in teams and review committees as directed or needed. Observe, adhere to and maintain current knowledge of all Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) and safety guidelines. Foster, facilitate and encourage a safe work environment and abide by all safety procedures and standards of the company. Be aware and promote awareness of all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and regulated policies and procedures. Wearing and unwavering support of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a high priority. Demonstrate proficient and safe use of all power and hand tools. Operate tow motor and scissor lift as needed in a safe manner following all rules and regulations. Stay abreast of current maintenance issues through training and education sought through reading or online materials and training initiatives provided through the company. Demonstrate problem solving skills by identifying root causes of problems and work to correct them. Identify and engage in activities that reduce scrap and lower down time. Maintain maintenance areas in accordance with housekeeping guidelines, GMP, 5-S, and SAFE audit guidelines.
EDUCATION and
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Tow motor and scissor lift license or certification provided through the company within 90 days is a requirement for completion. 5 years of experience with plastic injection molding production and assembly equipment with specific hands on expertise on high volume/speed and multi-cavity presses. Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and a sharp focus on safety. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Proactive problem solver. Very good organization, follow-up and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task. A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
