Hours: 40hrs, 7am-3:30pm
Job Details:
Minimum 1 year experience preferred
The Practice Coder II is responsible for all charge capture, charge coding, data entry and charge reconciliation. Assists with orientation, training and special projects as requested by management.
Qualifications/Competencies:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), RHIT, RHIA or CCS required.
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); post high school coursework in business and/or medical field.
1 year or more of related experience strongly preferred.
Great attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Working knowledge of Medical terminology required.
Accounts receivable/cash handling experience
Billing/coding education & experience strongly preferred; familiarity with CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS codes
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
