Department Description
The Unified Business Cluster(UBC)supports the instruction, research, and public service missions of centers, institutes and programs (CIP's) at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by providing fiscal leadership, safeguarding University financial assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing timely delivery of services to internal and external customers.
Position Description
This position is responsible for directing, guiding, and managing daily business and financial operations of the North Carolina Botanical Garden(NCBG) Foundation and NCBG, as well as providing input in long term strategic planning and operations. This position has full responsibility for budget management.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate's degree in accounting; or Associate's degree in business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred previous experience with UNC fiscal systems such as Finance Central, FRS, etc.
Also previous training/experience in PeopleSoft.
Experience with grants, endowments, state appropriations, and state receipts.
Experience with UNC Financial Records System and Infoporte.
Experience with Business Process Mapping.
