Ensure prompt, thorough and courteous service to clients and patients.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification: Valid driver's license with no restrictions.

Experience: Excellent communication and customer service skills; good keyboard and computer proficiency; accurate data entry skills; ability to work in fast paced environment; medical terminology preferred; excellent telephone skills and ability to multi-task. Capable of driving vehicles with either standard or automatic transmission. A minimum of 6 months experience working in Specimen Processing department required.
Take Customer Service phone calls and follow up of patient and client requests.
Accurately solve problems and answer questions for clients.
Understanding of other departments how they interact with Client Services - especially Specimen Processing, Technical and Couriers.
Reporting Critical Value results, communicable diseases and other verbal report as required.
Interact with referral labs for data entry and problem resolution.
Perform data entry using the company's computer programs.
Handle Standing Orders.
Filing, use of copy machine and printers.
Understand and practice Medicare rules regarding ABN's.
Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
Participate in departmental quality assurance monitors.
Follow all established I.Q. protocols.
Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Typically sits for extended period of times.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
