DIVISION:
This posting is for our Classic Division which specializes in Household Cleaners as well as the Pool & Spa categories.
We are searching for a results-driven, self-starter to fill the role of MAINTENANCE MANAGER . This talented person will lead and deliver results for a high-speed, tablet, powder, and liquid packaging in primarily our Pool & Spa category, but some Household Cleaner packaging.
The ideal candidate will have a take-charge attitude, and a 'can do' mindset. In this position, you will report to the General Manager and be responsible for leading and assisting a team of multi-skilled technicians to maintain packaging and molding equipment and the building in top condition. Responsible for overall maintenance direction, activities and projects in Filling, Blow Molding, Processing and Building Maintenance. The position works directly with off-site KIK facilities to ensure consistency from plant to plant. It also interacts with local contractors/ vendors to complete assigned projects.
Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills to minimize equipment downtime
Lead team to adhere to company and OSHA safety practices
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment
Establish and manage preventative / predictive maintenance systems to improve equipment uptime. Utilize data to establish long term and short term equipment overhauls and upgrades
Ability to build a strong team, including performing skill assessments and developing training plans for technicians
Order and maintain adequate spare parts within budgetary guidelines
Establish and maintain acceptable cleanliness and organizational standards in maintenance dept; experience implementing 5S concepts a plus
Design and implement process and equipment improvements
Coordinate outside contracting with in house projects as necessary
o BS or AA/AS degree in a technical field is preferred but may be substituted with extensive maintenance management experience
o Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing area
o Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal to include strong organizational and presentation skills
o Computer Knowledge will be required
Must have strong analytical abilities and extensive knowledge of packaging equipment, including AC drives, motors, pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, and pvc piping
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming and editing, experience with Siemens programmers is also desirable.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams and make decisions based on these documents.
Experience implementing 5S concepts a plus
Ability to handle multiple tasks both short term and long term while keeping the overall company objective in mind
Think quickly and provide well thought out plans of execution, sets priorities to situationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
