The Quality Team has two key openings and are looking for experienced SMT engineers that desire to be part of a ground floor team building new technologies. Ideal candidates come from the SMT world and have experience in component kitting, handling, and supplier interface, or well rounded SMT production experience, particularly in SMT processes, and setting up and optimizing AOI. These openings will work closely with the customer and supplier quality teams, as well as the design and production teams. These are new positions and the successful candidates can expect to have a heavy hand in establishing the full scope of the positions. These are ideal positions for a candidate looking to move from production to the quality management side of the business.
Key skills/requirements include, but not limited to;
Effective prioritization and communication of workload
Use of effective risk assessment and reliability engineering methods
Liaison between customer/supplier and design/manufacturing
May require travel within the United States and potentially abroad
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or materials engineering (or very closely related field) required plus five years relevant quality engineering (or closely related) experience
Related work experience in the PCBA, SMT production field required
Candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of Quality systems; FMEAs, Control Plans, TS 16949, correction action reporting and 8D methodology highly desired.
Experience in the automotive industry, supplier development, lamp making processes and/or Six Sigma a plus
