The Citizen & Defense Services business unit provides support in three major areas: business process services, where we perform the actual function that the process is relate to; business process related software, that helps us manage the various components, the systems associated with the software in the process; and then there is a business process management which is used to help design and track the performance of the specific business process. The business units work supports primarily the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. We support our clients with a work force of over 2600 Serco and Serco subcontractor employees and provide mission critical support services that primarily support Immigration, Visa Processing and Commerce. The business unit also has approximately 2000 employees and operates at hundreds of locations across the United States and overseas in Korea, Japan, Italy, and Germany. We provide personnel services to military personnel, military families, and civilians working for the military. Our capabilities address a wide range of managed services, as well as the complete military lifecycle which includes recruitment, to active duty through retirement.

Serco Inc. is looking to fill an Application Systems Analyst I position at our Arlington, VA location. The roles and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate will define Business Process Inventory by collaborating with stakeholder organizations to determine the domain universe based upon entitlements, retrieving documentation from stakeholders, and maintaining a Business Process Inventory Database.
Candidate will be responsible for migrating processes to iGrafx and SA to ensure business process maps are Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) 2.0-compliant and in accordance with EA requirements.
Candidate will validate pay processes with subject matter experts (SMEs), including creation of business process maps, a functional process tool, and a business process document. Obtain SME, Business Process Owners, and leadership's approval of completed Process Document Set.
Candidate will perform Gap Analysis by comparing As-Is documentation with the approved future system capabilities, documenting and prioritizing gaps, and using recommendations and other guidance to assist in the development of To-Be process maps.
Candidate will assist the system modernization effort by supporting management of the IT investments through close coordination of the primary stakeholder's Enterprise Architecture (EA) and portfolio management process via annual reviews and Investment Review Board (IRB) reviews when necessary. Collaborate and coordinate with key stakeholders, internal and external to primary stakeholder, on technical enterprise IT issues, requirements, processes, and policies.

May require a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related area and 0-3 years' of experience in the field or in a related area.
