Production Supervisor

BRENCO, producer of tapered roller bearings for the railroad industry has an immediate need for a Supervisor. Brenco is part of larger company - Amsted Rail. ASF-Keystone, Brenco and Griffin Wheel, offer quality solutions that combine castings, bearings and wheels from all three of the Amsted rail divisions, providing some 90% of your freight car undercarriage requirements from one reliable source.
Individual will be responsible for leading their team to achieve department goals for safety, quality, throughput, up-time, and incorporation of lean manufacturing principles to achieve continuous improvement. Drive all operational activities to achieve on-time delivery while meeting quality assurance requirements. Manage team members by establishing effective lines of communication while improving performance.
Track and work to improve department goals for safety, quality, throughput, and up time.
Ensures that product specifications and quality standards are continuously met.
Coordinates changeovers and work with team members to reduce changeover time.
Maintains open and effective communications with subordinates, peers and management.
Perform routine audits to ensure processes and products are within parameters.
Represent department in daily operations meetings and assigned project meetings.
Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained to provide a safe and efficient work environment.
Provides feedback on hiring, performance evaluations, and terminations in department.
Minimum of (5) years of manufacturing supervision
Good computer skills (Experience with SAP Software, Excel Spreadsheets, Word Processing Software,)
The physical demands describe here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and lift up to 50 lbs.
This position may require availability for off shifts.
