The CLG team includes Home Lending, Consumer Credit Card, Personal Loans and Lines, Direct Auto, Dealer Services, Commercial Auto, Retail Services and Education Financial Services including the professional services teams that partner with these businesses - Human Resources, Finance, Credit Risk, and Compliance & Operational Risk.
Our Consumer Credit Solutions (CCS) Collections and Servicing team works with past-due customers to offer solutions for bringing credit card, student loan, personal line and loan, direct auto, retail services and deposit accounts up-to-date. The group also provides customer service for student loan and retail services accounts and works with customers to resolve disputed charges on credit card accounts.
WELLS FARGO WILL PAY UP TO $5,000 IN COLLEGE TUITION COSTS per calendar year to regular team members for eligible career-related classes. Working Schedules include one weekend day and evenings until 9pm. The schedule includes shift premium pay for the evening hours worked.
This position is eligible to participate in an incentive plan which could provide compensation opportunities in addition to the base salary available, for achievement of specific business objectives and goals.
AVAILABLE SCHEDULES: Tuesday - Thursday 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM OR Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM Training is provided! Training Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm for approximately 4-6 weeks.
In our training program, we have high expectations for your attendance. You will gain an understanding of the company products and services, procedures, policies, government regulations and computer systems and learn how to apply this knowledge when communicating with customers who are overdrawn.
In the position, you will:
Work in an environment that is professional, fun, and energized with a casual dress code.
Field inbound and make outbound calls utilizing an auto-dialer system.
Consistently learn and apply operational policies and State & Federal regulations governing collection practices.
Act as the point of contact for the customer to help determine the reason for their account being overdrawn and evaluate the customer's financial situation.
Ask for payment in full on every call or negotiate account resolution and terms of repayment.
Have structured work days with all your calls monitored for quality and accuracy.
May skip-trace to find and collect on delinquent accounts.
May work on special projects.
May be responsible for collateral analysis.
Refer more complex issues to higher level Collections staff.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications: 1
year experience in a direct customer contact, service, collections or sales environment.
Minimum
Qualifications:
1 year experience in collections call center environment.
Proficiency using Windows based PC.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to utilize negotiation skills.
Ability to handle and adapt to change.
High attention to detail.
Ability to consistently learn and apply basic regulations and/or compliance policies within a financial institution and/or credit policies.
Must be available to work evening hours until 9pm and 1 weekend day.
Must be available to work holidays as needed.
Reliable and consistent job history.
Reliable and predictable attendance.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in one of the following systems: FDR, Hogan, CACS.
Ability to maintain confidence when handling difficult customers.
Ability to handle a high volume fast paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Competitive nature.
1 year of continuous work experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
High School diploma or equivalent

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
