We are searching for a Swiss CNC Programmer to work in their engineering group. The Swiss CNC Programmer will review new designs, select equipment and develop the cutting tool package. The ability to design special tools is a plus. Knowledge of speeds, feeds and experience calculating cycle times and chip loads is needed. The Swiss CNC Programmer will specify collets, guide bushings, tooling, holders and coolant flow. Experience creating CNC programs to optimize the process is required. Knowledge of swiss lathe M and G cods is a must. Candidates with CAM software experience such as Esprit and/or Partmaker is preferred. Swiss CNC programs with experience developing macro programs for families of parts and common operations is needed. Past experience creating set up sheets and tool lists is a plus. Candidates with direct experience on Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Nexturn, Tornos Deco, Nomura, Hanwha or other brands of swiss CNC lathes / swiss CNC screw machines will be considered. Knowledge of Marubeni Citizen Cincom swiss CNC lathes is preferred.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 10 years of CNC machining experience and 5 years plus of programming and processing swiss CNC lathes. Knowledge of cutting tool applications is preferred. Some experience using CAM software such as Partmaker or Esprit is a plus. Interested candidates will need knowledge of M and G codes and ability to calculate cycle times, good troubleshooting skills and experience optimizing processes is preferred.
