Description:
On behalf of our client, a market leader in advanced machining processes, Belcan has been tasked with adding to their machining workforce. We are in search of experienced CNC Mchining Operators in the Metro Atlanta area.
This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status
POSITION
Summary:
Responsible for machining new and repaired components.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Set up, programming and running parts.
Excellent quality a must
Use of inspections tools
Ability to follow work instructions
Ability to meet production requirements
Fabricate replacement and new parts for facility machinery.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
Communicate with operators from other shifts.
Maintain and secure work tools.
Clean and maintain work area.
Perform back-up for assembly line.
Perform back-up for warehouse.
Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
Order tools and fabrication parts.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND WORK
Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2-5 years experience in a machining environment.
Ability to participate as a vital part of New Part Introduction into production.
Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required.
Requires a good understanding of G-codes, feeds and speeds.
Experience using one or more of the following tools: lathe, milling machine, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut off saw.
Experience using large measuring tools, vernier calipers, height gages and dial indicators.
Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and schematics.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors and steel toe boots. Loose fitting clothes, shorts and jewelry are not permitted.
