Summary:
End User Technology Services is the function in EY which is globally end-to-end accountable for End User Technology. This includes Desktop, Messaging, Mobile and Print as primary services domains.
Roles and responsibilities for the services in scope include road mapping, design, engineering, unit testing, and implementation. End User Technology Services also manages the vendors related to the services and associate budgets.
The End User Technology Hardware leader is end-to-end accountable for desktop hardware (primarily laptops, total over 200.000 end points) as well as printing hardware. The leader works intimately with hardware vendors to roadmap models and introduction of new hardware capabilities. The leader ensures hardware support is current across the necessary platforms. The leader has end to end accountability for financial planning of the PC hardware and printing in the entire EY estate.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Develop as part of the overall strategy the strategy and mission for End User Technology Hardware
Build, maintain, improve and mobilize leadership team in End User Technology Hardware
Develop annual roadmap and plan for End User Technology Hardware
Participate on steering committees of programs that affect the End User Technology Hardware environment to manage the global environment as well as secure the interests of the End User Technology Hardware organization
Recruit, train and retain the End User Technology Hardware leadership team
Manage the End User Technology Hardware budget globally (global budget and 140
country budgets) including but not limited to budget for travel, education, software costs, payroll, purchased services, etc.) Overall budget responsibilities include capital planning as well as P&L; planning
Report to the global End User Technology Leader on qualitative and quantitative aspects of End User Technology Hardware
Manage and maintain vendor relationships at arm's length managing both the vendor as well as working with client serving partners where necessary
Analytical/Decision Making
Responsibilities:
Role is on Leadership team level in IT Services with empowerment levels as documented for investment, travel, recruitment, etc.
Role is responsible for the functions budget and headcount
Role makes key decisions in influencing the End User Technology Hardware environment at EY
Role will participate on projects as stakeholder or steering committee member
Supervision
Responsibilities:
Lead End User Technology Hardware leadership team
Counsel, coach and guide End User Technology Hardware team
Budget accountability for global End User Technology Hardware budget
Headcount accountability for global End User Technology Hardware organization spread across multiple countries and global shared service centers
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Very good knowledge of life cycle and operations processes and functional organization including experience in applying RACI diagrams
Extremely organizational cognizant
Proven skills in managing suppliers / system integrators
Profound in mapping project deliverables on team responsibilities to map out transitions
Profound ability to understand total cost of ownership and how its influenced during the design of a project
Profound ability to understand organizational impact of project deliverables
Proven skills to develop actionable roadmaps and to implement in an efficient way
Very good understanding of key performance indicators relevant for the role
Experience in financial management like budgeting and cost comparison for the relevant services
Experience:
Fifteen or more years of experience in various aspects of IT management
Experience in out sourcing or in sourcing
Experience with defining IT strategies for larger organizations
Experience in leading a larger organization
Education:
An advanced degree in Computer Science/Management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Other Requirements:
Outstanding management, interpersonal, communication, organizational and decision-making skills
Strong multi tasking capabilities, exceptional skills to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change as well as dealing efficient with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure e.g. to restore services
Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people within and outside IT, to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives, and to lead virtual cross- cultural teams
An overall understanding of the business objectives of service lines and Core Business Services departments
English language skills - excellent written and verbal communicationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
