Welcome Center Lead

Sunday through Thursday P.M. shift
Flexibly in scheduling as needed
Pay Range: $10.00-$10.50 per hour based off of experience
Essential Functions:
Provides work direction, trains and coaches staff as needed under the leadership of the Membership Director
Provides recommendations to hire and trains staff.
Greets all customers; assists withproper check-in procedures.
Effectively communicates information on memberships, Get Started Program, and registers new members.
Understands and takes appropriate ownership of membership goals, terminations and retention
Enters sales transactions, including membership and program services.
Actively cultivates relationships to proactively retain and gain members.
Maintains and balances a cash drawer.
Assists with special events as requested.
Responds quickly, efficiently and professionally to any emergency situation. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary; notifies appropriate staff member.
Assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
Attends and participates in required training and meetings.
Regular scheduled attendance; on-site attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
- The incumbent must possess the experience and educational background suitable for the position. High school diploma or GED highly desirable.
-YMCA experience is preferred
-Record of quality customer service experience. Self-starter with ability to work independently. Computer skills a must.
-Experience working in a multi-cultural setting desirable; bilingual
(Spanish/English) capability helpful.
-Must possess excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
-Incumbent must possess maturity, sound judgment and the ability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
-Individual will be required to build relationships with members and guest.
-Individual must possess management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
