We are seeking a Compensation Analyst.
Position
Summary:
The Compensation Analyst is a key resource in supporting the Guy Carpenters Total Rewards functions through analyzing pay programs, data audit and trends. The Analyst will also be responsible for partnering with the Global Human Resources team to produce a variety of technical and analytical tasks related to Total Rewards.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for consulting and advising Global HR Business Partner regarding compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, market analysis, job evaluation and other compensation projects and initiatives
-Responsible for partnering with MMC to manage data integrity and compliance including but not limited to PeopleSoft, HCC, etc. Also build and maintain PeopleSoft queries to provide ad hoc analyses related to, but not limited to, compensation and various business ad hoc analyses to HR Business Partner
-Assist with formulating job descriptions, which consist of evaluating the role, working with the HRBP or business leaders on the context and then calculating the % breakout of work
-Responsible for partnering with HR Business Partners during the Year-End Compensation process to deliver reporting and analytics on compensation benchmark, salary, bonus, LTIP
-Responsible for researching situations as they arise related to aspects of Total Rewards to provide clarity or possible solutions
Responsible for managing projects such as survey participation and analysis, compensation integration for mergers and/or acquisitions and job competitiveness on internal and external equity
Partner with Compensation Manager on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, funding analysis, implementation of new programs, Bonus/Salary pools and LTIP grants
Education
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or Communications
Experience
3 - 5 years experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs
Knowledge and skills
-Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel are required. PeopleSoft experience is a plus
-Proven ability to be analytical and handle data effectively
-Attention to detail
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with internal clients
-Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
-Possess the maturity to handle sensitive information
-Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
-Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
-Ability to understand the labor market and trends overtime
-Strong organizational and project administration skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
