Responsibilities/Duties:
Perform analytical work to support design and development activities for products such as valves, regulators and manifolds (products that regulate flow and pressure of fluids)
Serve as project manager for engineering projects.
Based on product request inputs, develop product development specification and input/output Matrix.
Perform product design and development functions to produce cost effective, and technically sound designs to meet or exceed customer requirements.
Develop and execute qualification test plan including verification and validation testing, as required, for new products.
Interface with other functional areas (concurrent engineering) in product development.
Coordinate internal and external resources to produce prototypes for internal and external testing.
Drive cost reduction projects in support of AOP objectives.
Lead pre-production planning and execution to produce initial production products.
Coordinate with outside vendors to obtain development, prototypes, testing services to achieve the best balance between cost and delivery to expedite product commercialization schedules.
Serve as the sustaining engineer for a segment of the sustaining engineering products in support of manufacturing operations and customer requirements.
Ability to read/create drawings and interpret GD&T.
Basic understanding of Assembly and Machining processes
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or VP of Engineering
Qualifications:
Five years of relevant work experience with design and development of high pressure gas regulators, valves or manifold systems
BSME or equivalent degree
Ability to manage projects and interface with customers
Ability to build prototype parts or run small tests with assistance
Knowledge of SolidWorks
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
PMP
Lean - Six Sigma
Knowledge of CGA specifications
Medical device and gas industry experience
