Structural Engineer needed for a six (6) month contract opportunity with the possibility of direct hire with Yoh's client located in Baytown/Houston, TX.
The Big Picture:
- Position located at client site-large industrial chemical facility. Tobacco free workplace.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform engineering for concrete and steel structures such as footings, caissons, grade beams, columns, base plates, anchor bolts, beams, vertical and horizontal bracing for Industrial facilities.
- Supervise other engineers and designers
- Write scopes
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 8 to 14 years of experience
- Proficient in Staad, Enercalc, PCA Mats design programs
- Strong skills in structural steel analysis and design
- Experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry
- Must be familiar with latest design codes such as IBC 2006, ACI, and AISC.
- Must be able to supervise other engineers and designers, write scopes of work, develop estimates, and schedules.
