Manager, Alternative Distribution and Content, Global Supplier Relations

As travel distribution evolves, its becoming more important that GBT develop alternate channels to obtain content to serve its client base. Reporting to the Global Director of Distribution and Content, this position is a strategic role within the Global Supplier Relations (GSR) team.
The candidate will be responsible for driving increased revenue by
1) Identifying emerging channels
2) Evaluating potential commercial constructs to optimize revenue from the distribution of this content
3) Developing implementation plans and driving roll-out of the new content globally.
Job Responsibilities :
- Evaluate new formsand sources of content, focusing on the potential revenue, competitive benefits, and methods for distribution
- Developing business constructs and negotiating with content providers
- Working with the POS team to develop and drive implementation of content distribution across the GBT network
- Provide thought leadership in defining distribution strategy with specific focus to ensure optimal access to content for customers
- Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business opportunities and understand how strategic plans can enable revenue growth then convey the benefits and value propositions to the business
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the travel distribution environment

- Business Travel and Distribution experience a plus but not required
- Business development experience within the new media ore-commerce industry a plus
- Experience intravel distribution or the travel industry is a plus but not required
Educational requirement :
- Bachelor's Degree,a Masters or MBA a bonus
- Comfortable presenting at senior levels
