Business Development Specialist
Every Citizen Has Opportunities, Inc. (ECHO) is seeking a
dynamic Business Development Specialist to create work
opportunities for adults with disabilities.Primary areas of
responsibility include achieving business growth through sales,
contract procurement and administration, and relationship
building.
The successful candidate will provide active leadership to
develop new and existing business to ensure growth in ECHO's
supported employment and meet revenue goals, including government
and commercial contracts in northern Virginia.Duties include:
Provide strategic business development planning and
analysis.
Maintain an active sales presence throughout the region.
Procure, execute and maintain government and business
contracts.Write proposals.
Create sales messages and materials, and support marketing
efforts.
Conduct market and prospect research.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with business,
government and community leaders.
Negotiate and manage contracts and worksite agreements
including cost estimating, fiscal management, record keeping and
reporting to ensure government and program compliance.
Maintain good PR with host companies.
Research new business opportunities, develop business plans and
help pilot opportunities for new types of work.
Requirements:
This highly visible and collaborative position requires an
experienced, entrepreneurial individual with the proven ability to
generate new business and develop lasting business partnerships.
Qualifications include:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, and extensive experience with
sales, government contracting, workforce development for people
with disabilities, and account management.
At least 5 years' experience doing business with government
agencies and commercial businesses in northern Virginia.
Proven success to build business, increase sales, and
proactively manage projects and processes.
Demonstrated ability in writing and executing business plans
and contracts, including cost estimating, bidding, reporting, and
compliance assurance.
Proven ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and
develop profitable programs and contracts.
Demonstrated experience with government contract procurement
and administration, and the regulations and resources governing
ECHO's operations.Experience with the AbilityOne Program
preferred.
Excellent business networking, negotiation, communication and
presentation skills.
Excellent planning and organizing skills.
Outstanding team building skills and ability to develop
effective partnerships.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.Base salary plus
commission.Excellent benefits package.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
