A prestigious company in Quincy, MA is looking to hire a Technical Project Manager for a long term contract opportunity. You will have primary responsibilities for driving multiple IT initiatives, with highly complex requirements and tight deadlines.
More specifically, you will:
Drive work initiatives ranging from large scale complex system and business intelligence implementations, maintenance and enhancements, production support and technology upgrades across the solution delivery teams scope of applications and processes.
Partner with IT functions (e.g., architecture, vendor management, security, infrastructure, data warehouse) and uses understanding of current state business process, existing system functionality, and future state business requirements to design and implement solutions to meet business needs
Accountable for the overall direction of the design, development and implementation of a solution, ensuring sustainable and measurable continuous improvement is achieved in business processes
Technical Delivery Management
Provide technical leadership to applicable development team working on development project teams. Direct technical leads, analysts, designers and developers in the development life cycle
Create and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Own the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical plans and risks throughout the project.
Manage technical resources within budget and project schedule.
Vendor Management
Manages vendor interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale development efforts.
Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen vendor relationships.
Possess a knowledge base of each vendor's business, systems and objectives.
Education and Experience
Minimum 5-7 years' experience. 3
years of IT program delivery experience, with demonstrated use of the project management life cycle, Agile methodology experience, including tools and methodologies.
Strong familiarity with hardware, software, and systems development and engineering product life cycle processes
ETL Development and or support skills
Expertise in design (data modeling, ETL, end user tools, web portals)
Strong data analysis and BI skills; Development and or DBA experience
Possess strong expertise or broad knowledge across a spectrum of IT service delivery areas, including release management, SDLC process, development standards and tools, capacity and resource management, and IT reporting.
Strong leadership, management, and program management skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Able to multi-task effectively
Understanding of Database Development and or Administration skills (SQL Server, Oracle)
