Overview :
An expert technical contributor in the eCommerce Infrastructure Architecture and Capacity Planning organization who has eCommerce system expertise with infrastructure knowledge. Acting independently with little direction, supports the project and management teams in providing technical consulting and implementation of complex eCommerce systems that conform to MST standards and methodology. Works within the project management methodology to analyze a wide variety of technical requirements and develop Architectual solutions. Possesses technical knowledge of all areas that support the eCommerce systems, including operating systems, network, security, and storage. Communicates effectively with peers who are responsible for managing and implementing requirements. Evaluates and implements third party products in the eCommerce environment. Communicates effectively with managers, directors, project managers and operational support personnel. Implements effective processes within own team and across other teams and manages change to support project implementation. Directs the techinical activities of other engineers and contractors within a project. Mentors junior team members.
Key Accountabilities :
1. Designs, implements and builds architectual solutions for Macy's eCommerce supported initiatives.
2. Participates in project planning, task duration estimation and project artifact compilation.
3. Create and maintain eCommerce Infrastructure design documentation.
4. Assist IFS eCommerce Operations and Project teams delivables as required.
5. Consults with development project resources on cloud environment management and configuration.
6. Mentors other team members on on technology and processes.
Decision Making :
1. Candidates for this role participates in the decision making process for project task scheduling and duration estimation.
2. This role also participates in decision making for architectural and system design.
Skills Summary :
1. Candidates in this role need to have 5-10 years experience supporting a high trafficked eCommerce site (Architecture and Capacity Planning experience a strong plus).
2. 5-10 years experience with industry standard 3 tier web application environment (WebSphere, Weblogic or JBOSS experience a plus, WebSphere Certification a strong plus).

Must have 8 to 10 years of experience with Java/J2EE Application Design
.
4. 1 1/2 years of experience in Cloud, virtualization preferred.
5. 5-10 years UNIX experience (including AIX, Linux, Solaris).
6. 5-10 years experience with industry standard web servers (IHS or Apache experience a plus).
7. This candidate should have 5-10 years experience in implementing systems within a complex secure network (LTM and GTM experience a Strong Plus).
8. Very strong analysis/troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.
9. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Lotus Notes or MS Outlook.
10. Bachelor's Degree preferred and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
