Macy's Logistics is currently seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic
Essential Functions:
Maintain and repair conveyor systems, powered equipment and other fulfillment center systems including electrical, electronic controls, pneumatic, hydraulic and HVAC
Participate with maintenance related projects including construction
Follow all standard operating procedures
Adhere to all safety practices, for your safety and the safety of others
Work independently or as part of a team
Operate in extreme temperatures
Follow written and verbal instructions
Qualifications:
Communication Skills
Must have good communication, people skills and be able to develop positive relations with all levels of management and hourly work force.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Demands
Must be able to work off of ladders at least 12 feet above grade and Scissor lifts 30 feet above grade.
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
Other Skills
Sense of Urgency
Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team.
Must be open and prepared to perform any reasonable task assigned and follow direction provided by Dept. executive, supervisor or mechanic when working directly with mechanics.
Ability to work with hand tools, operate electric drills, grinders, sewer augers and other tools necessary for maintaining equipment throughout the facility.
