Relocation is available for this position.
Our client seeks a Process Availability Leader to be responsible for analyzing production losses, generating the production loss report, and identifying improvement opportunities. This includes establishing the root cause analysis (RCA) to be done. In addition selects, defines, and schedules analysis of systems critical to business goals.
ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
Fully support and provide leadership relative to the mill safety programs
Evaluates Asset Availability data and generates specific reports that identify production performance improvement opportunities to be pursued by other work processes
Identifies and communicates operating unit goals and technology plans with respect to health, safety, and environmental concerns, unit operations, and technical opportunities
Selects, defines, and schedules analysis of systems critical to business goals. Collects relevant data on selected systems
Leads the criticality review and determines the risk management strategy
Monitors and analyzes the reliability program performance
Establishes the root cause analysis (RCA) level criteria
Identifies the level of RCA to be performed and the Team as appropriate
Assist with product development/cost reduction efforts as identified by area opportunities
Work closely with Process Capability Leader to address area priorities and expectations with respect to system uptime
Possess ambulatory capabilities to move around the mill, climb ladders, and catwalks.
MUST HAVE
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline.
7
years of Process Engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
3
years of Paper Industry experience preferred.
Recent supervisory experience.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Thorough understanding of unit operations, process equipment, and technology
Technical expertise in various maintenance disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrument and piping)
Ability to apply probability, statistical, modeling, and prediction reliability tools appropriately
Ability to apply reliability centered maintenance
Ability to use in depth analysis and structured methodology to identify the true root causes of a situation or event
Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, and analytical skills
Self- Motivated
Competency with standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
